Canal celebration

June 27th was the 170th anniversary of the opening of the Central ( Broad Ripple ) canal.

Maybe next year we could get the Rusted Moon canoe and kayak color guard to head a flotilla down the canal. Dying it green it memory of all the Irishmen that helped dig it might be fun too...

What a grand idea! I'd also like to see the BRVA sponsor a 'plein air' painting event along the banks of the canal in the fall when the leaves are in color.
