Jose,
I, too, sing and studied music education (euphonium) at IU. With whom do you normally perform? My mother (my neighbor to the north) is the children's choir director at St. Luke's United Methodist, so it runs in the family!
I've sung under Chuck's direction before his retirement from St. Luke's. My mother has been working with him on creating a small ecumenical youth choir. So I'm assuming you also know Charles Manning through Symphonic Choir? He and his family used to live in the house my parents live in now and they're close family friends. Small world!

Born in Puerto Rico and when 7 years old moved to Fort Wayne, IN with my mother to be with my mother's brother. He worked in the GE Plant off of Taylor Street. After many years of moving around in FW, I was fortunate to attend IU in Bloomington. I started there in 1978.
I studied Mucic Education and graduated in 1983 and in 1983 continued on to pursue my Masters in Music Education. I worked myself through graduate school in the IU Bloomington's Financial Aid Office. I enjoyed it so much that I went on to pursue a career in the field. The last 20 years i have worked as Director of the IU School of Medicine Financial Aid Office on the IUPUI campus.
Interests
I have interest in gardening, woodworking, art and music (of course). I sing regularly throughout the city, but take summers off from singing.
